Recording a language, and keeping it
To write a people's words is to keep their memory alive.
The Lai Dictionary records the Hakha (Lai) tongue of the Chin Hills of Myanmar. It gathers everyday vocabulary beside the words of faith and Scripture, so the language and its meaning stay within reach of every generation that follows.
This is not a finished work. It is a living record that grows as new words are added and reviewed by fluent speakers, and it is offered freely to the community it belongs to.
